PITstop competency assessment
Students are advised to identify gaps in their competencies and work, with support from their mentor, to fill the gaps. A useful resource for non medical prescribers to revisit annually and adjust their diabetes prescribing accordingly. The competency assessment has been influenced by the PITstop insulin and GLP-1 care pathways, NICE education criteria for insulin initiation (NICE NG28, 2015) and the following Skills for Health competencies: Diab HA11, Diab HA12, Diab HD3, TX03.
